Why more? Why not... Since my college days, I remember a friend telling me I would never be able to pass the Certified Public Accounting exam. Well, game on! Look where we are today. With over 15 years of experience in taxation, 10 years in software development, and too many to count managing the family farm, I have enjoyed every challenge and try to learn something new every day.
My colleagues have always told me I have a knack for organizing and pulling the right pieces together; if there is a way to streamline a process, I create it. I suppose this analytical thinking is what sets me apart from most general tax preparers and planners (or maybe it's some ADHD kicking in). I find great accomplishment in finding solutions that work, preparing accurate documents, and giving others confidence in understanding their business processes and/or their personal tax return information.
I guess this means that while, yes, I can prepare a tax return for you, together we can do so much more. We can plan ahead, develop business applications and processes that save you time, and work together to understand why and how we can accomplish your goals.
While I have spent my fair share of time in a corporate office, I have never been scared to get my hands dirty (specifically remembering shoveling out a broken manure spreader full of, yup, you guessed it, manure). Most of my clients recognize me in mismatched flannels and work jeans. I like working in a non-intimidating, down-to-earth, no-judgment manner. Personal Taxation Pricing and Processes
We take pride in our transparent approach of pricing and our expertise in taxation. We believe in providing up-front and straight forward pricing estimates that works for you. And an understanding of how we like to operate our tax practice.
Personal Tax Pricing
General 1040 personal tax preparation starts at $215 and includes one state tax return. *
Do you have dependent children with W-2 and/or investment income? If we prepare your personal return, we will complete your dependent’s return for $75.*
Do you work in multiple states? Additional state return filings start at $90 per state return.*
We also offer IRS notice resolution for your tax return, if elected when filing your return.

Are you running a small business? Personal returns with business activities (schedule C) or small farms (schedule F) start at $350 and include one state tax return.*
*Note these prices are estimates and subject to change pending your personal tax service needs and reporting requirements. New clients setup between February 1st and April 15th will include an
additional $40 fee. Contact us before tax season to get ready for the next tax year, and save yourself
some $$. If your tax return(s) require an extension and are not completed by April 15th due to delays in receiving your information or planning, a $50 extension fee will apply.
Our Personal Tax Process
To respect your time and ours, we begin our tax planning and preparation services prior to January 1st. We schedule new client appointments through-out the year to introduce ourselves and prepare for the upcoming year.
After our initial virtual meeting, if you feel we are the right fit for your tax services, we will request your prior year’s information and a payment for the upcoming tax services.
When you have all applicable documents for the tax year ready you will book an appointment time to start the tax process. After your appointment is set, we will send you applicable documents and access to your client web-portal where you can securely upload your information.
Our tax preparation and planning services are prioritized in the order received.
*Note - Farm tax returns (Schedule F),
with balances due need to be filed by
March 1st, to void penalties.
